Going through a car wash with XCOMBO

Before a car wash there's a lot to do: windows shut, mirrors folded, doors locked, remembering N and Auto Hold. A car wash combo bundles many of these steps into one tap – but not all. Here's what the combos can do, how the variants differ and what you have to do yourself.

What a car wash combo takes care of

Depending on the variant, the combos close the windows, boot and charge port, lock the car, fold the mirrors, switch to recirculation and give prompts, for example about the rain sensor or N. You start them by hand shortly before you drive into the wash.

What you have to do yourself

No combo can shift into N or change Auto Hold, and there's no known action for the automatic wipers – you have to do that yourself.

Some combos remind you: 6672 0017 uses voice prompts to tell you to turn off Auto Hold and shift to N; 9096 0007 reminds you about the automatic wipers and prompts you to shift to N.

The variants compared

All variants are in the conflict group “Car wash”. One is enough – pick the one whose steps suit your car wash.

After the wash

4871 0019 is the counterpart to the car wash combos and ends car wash mode again. Start it by hand when you drive out of the wash. With 2485 0004 the mirrors unfold in D anyway.

In practice

  1. Start the car wash combo by hand before you drive in.
  2. Follow the prompts on the display.
  3. Shift to N yourself, turn off Auto Hold and switch off the automatic wipers.
  4. After the wash, end car wash mode, for example with 4871 0019, and check that the mirrors, air and lights are back to normal.
