Location conditions: combos for home, garage and on the road

With a location condition, a combo only does something at a particular place – or specifically not there. Folding the mirrors in your garage at home, opening the charge port or leaving Sentry off: all of this works with location conditions. Here's what they require, which combos use them and where the limits are.

Requirements

Location conditions need XOS 5.9.5 or later; 8940 0031 even needs XOS 5.9.5.8906. You enter the place yourself in the app – a combo you add doesn't know your location. So after adding one, always check which place is saved.

Places are recognised within a radius of about 200 m – XPENG states 200 m as the minimum detection radius (XPENG's XOS 5.9.5 page). This area can also include the neighbouring street.

At home and in the garage

• Mirrors: 5361 0036 unfolds the mirrors in the garage when a door opens, folds them when it closes and unfolds them again after a set time. Alternatively, the pair 6058 0042 (at home) and 6499 0048 (away from home) is meant to be used together – not both approaches.
• X-Pedal: 2136 0055 turns off X-Pedal when you arrive home and drive slowly, so the car creeps in the garage and you brake yourself. 7205 0054 turns it back on when you leave.
• Charge port: 7549 0044 opens it when you get out at home, 8940 0031 only if the remaining range is below a set value. Use one of the two.
• Stop charging: 4532 0013 stops charging at home and unlocks the cable when you open and close the rear right door. It doesn't work at fast chargers.

Sentry with exceptions

Location conditions are well suited to leaving Sentry off where you don't need it. 9313 0040 switches Sentry on automatically, except at home; 9882 0038 and 1327 0038 exclude all places you've saved as safe. Important: another Sentry combo without an exception overrides the exception.

On the road

Location conditions don't only work at home. 0999 0056 cools quickly and switches on the seat ventilation as soon as you leave a particular place – originally the gym. Enter your own place.

Pitfalls

• The radius of about 200 m can mean a combo also fires when you park in the neighbouring street – for example opening the charge port or folding the mirrors.
• Pairs like the mirror or X-Pedal combos only work properly together: check that both have the same place saved.
• Without the right XOS version the condition doesn't work; the combo then never fires or fires in the wrong place.
• Test location combos deliberately once: arrive, get out, drive off.
